Outsiders, by Tammy Ferebee. (Still 0.99?)
“Amazing story-telling and narrative! I really wish there were more books like Outsiders for young adults out there. The plot is engaging, gripping, and provides (for once) a realistic perspective of today’s young adult. Even as an adult I found the narrative compelling and have read it twice already! Well worth the read and the purchase.” — Amazon Reviewer

The Barefoot Summer, by Carolyn Brown. (Still 0.99?)
“The Barefoot Summer struck a cord in my heart, I laughed, loved and cried with these women and little Gracie.
I felt I was part of their lives and was so sorry when I reached the end and realized it was over and complete.” — Amazon Reviewer
New York Times bestselling author Carolyn Brown returns with a heartbreakingly hilarious novel about three women who had nothing in common, except their husband.
Leaving one widow behind is unfortunate. Leaving three widows behind is just plain despicable. Oil heiress Kate Steele knew her not-so-dearly departed husband was a con man, but she’s shocked that Conrad racked up two more wives without divorcing her first. The only remnant of their miserable marriage she plans to keep is their lakeside cabin in Bootleg, Texas. Unfortunately, she’s not the only woman with that idea.
Fiery, strong-willed Jamie wishes Conrad were still alive—so she could kill the scoundrel herself. But for their daughter’s sake, she needs that property. As does Amanda—twenty-eight, pregnant, and still weeping over the loss of her true love. On a broiling July day, all three arrive in Bootleg…with a dogged detective right behind who’s convinced that at least one of them conspired to commit murder. One momentous summer filled with revelations, quirky neighbors, and barefoot evenings on the porch offers three women the chance to make the journey from enemies to friends, and claim a bright, new beginning.

Interview with the Author
Q – So, what makes the Annabelle Archer series special?
A – The Annabelle Archer wedding planner mysteries are based on my 20 plus years of planning society weddings in Washington, DC. That means I’ve seen tons of crazy things happen, and I’ve worked with lots of colorful characters. I bring that light-hearted sense of fun and zany characters into the novels. A lot of the humorous details I include in my books actually happened at my weddings! And since the books are about weddings, there is plenty of food, décor, and behind the scenes details.
The Annabelle Archer books are fast-paced cozy mysteries featuring a female protagonist with a little romance and comedy thrown in. You’ll find the series focuses on murder mystery and amateur sleuth genre overall, with a jewelry heist caper in the mix to keep things interesting!
Q – What order should I read the books in?

– Better Off Wed

Beyond the Woods: Fairy Tales Retold, by . (Still 1.99?)
“Beyond the Woods: Fairy Tales Retold is exactly what it sets out to be – a compilation of fairy tales retold for the modern generation. The modern adult generation. Where fairy tales were once cleaned up and made happy and “family-friendly” for the consumption of children (looking at you, Disney), these fairy tales go back to earlier forms when such tales were cautionary tales.” — Amazon Reviewer
Once upon a time, the stories that came to be known as “fairy tales” were cultivated to entertain adults more than children; it was only later that they were tamed and pruned into less thorny versions intended for youngsters. But in truth, they have continued to prick the imaginations of readers at all ages. Over the years, authors have often borrowed bits and pieces from these stories, grafting them into their own writing, creating literature with both new meaning and age-old significance. In the last few decades or so, they’ve also intentionally retold and reinvented the tales in a variety of ways—delightful or dark, wistful or wicked, sweet or satirical—that forge new trails through the forests of fantastic fiction. This new anthology compiles some of the best modern fairy-tale retellings and reinventions from award-winning and bestselling authors, acclaimed storytellers, and exciting new talents, into an enchanting collection.
